Evasin 28 capsules

Application
It has been shown that an increased daily intake of folic acid helps to ensure the proper development of the fetal nervous system and decreases the risk of spina bifida. Women who wish to become pregnant have an increased requirement for folic acid. A normal healthy diet does not contain sufficient folic acid to meet these increased requirements. Therefore the Dutch Health Commission recommends that women trying to conceive and those already pregnant take an extra daily dose of 0.4 mg folic acid. Extra daily doses of folic acid should be taken for at least 4 weeks prior to conception (or from the moment that contraceptive measures are stopped), and for 8 weeks after conception (even if the pregnancy was unplanned and folic acid was not taken prior to conception).
Composition
Each capsule contains 0.4 mg folic acid (vitamin B11), beeswax, soya bean oil, soy lecithin, gelatin, glycerol, E171, E104 and E110.
Instructions for use
Take 1 capsule daily with plenty of water, preferably with food. Swallow the whole capsule without chewing. One capsule of Evasin can safely be taken for longer periods, for example, if pregnancy does not occur immediately.
Warning
Do not take Evasin if you are hypersensitive to any of its ingredients. Do not exceed the recommended dose. The long-term use of folic acid above the recommended dose (1 capsule daily) can cause anaemia, as a result of vitamin B12 deficiency. Patients who are currently taking any other medications (eg, for epilepsy) are advised to consult their doctor before starting to take folic acid.
