Application
Duphalac syrup can be used for recurrent or long-term complaints of difficulty with defecation (eg, constipation).
Composition
Active ingredient: Duphalac syrup contains 667 mg lactulose per ml water.Other ingredients: small quantities of lactose and galactose, two natural sugars
Instructions for use
The dose of syrup is dependent on the severity of the complaints and the age of the patient.
Starting dose (first 3 days):
Adults: 30 ml per day
Children from 7 to 14 years: 15 ml per day
Infants between 1 and 6 years: 10 ml per dayBabies (under 1 year): 5 ml per day
Warning
Not to be used in cases of acute stomach ache or intestinal blockage.Not to be used by patients with a known sensitivity to lactulose, lactose or galactose, or with galactosaemia. Read instructions before use.
